Postpartum is a turning point in a mothers life where one chapter closes and another begins. You leave one world to enter a new. It’s a time that requires a radical shift in energy for most of us. A long with the feelings of joy and love, it’s also a time of mourning of what was. You’ve left the maiden and step into a new role, not knowing how or what that will look like. Entering motherhood is huge adjustment and can be an intense vulnerable time that should be supported with special attention and care. New mothers need deep nourishment both physically and emotionally. When we come together to connect with our sisters and support with love and compassion, we nourish ourselves, our babies and the community as a whole.

Postpartum calls for slowness, self-compassion, thoughtfulness, and support. During our sessions we will focus on nurturing and supporting this important life transition. It’s a space to feel and go through the emotions, to listen, share, ground, connect, nourish, move and heal. It’s support as you navigate the stages of motherhood, tapping into your own intuition and a guide to nourishing yourself and baby.

Our weekly sessions will include gentle yoga and strengthening exercises with a focus on strengthening the core and back, breathwork to help you reconnect to your pelvic floor and ways to balance your nervous system. We’ll meditate, talk about nutrition during this sacred time, and hold space to share the richness of the journey, both the ups and down, as well as birth stories. One special guest speaker will attend during the program to share their knowledge in the postpartum field.

This is a loving, open space where you can feel at home, where you are welcome to attend alone or with your baby, come and go as you please, nurse and nourish yourself.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother never.
A mother is something absolutely new.

There is no right time to start prenatal yoga, best time is once you feel good and ready. It‘s never to late to start and I recommend practicing until birth as long as you have a healthy pregnancy.
